ABOUT THE BIRDING
Olorgesailie Prehistoric Site is dry, arid scrub country below the escarpment south of Nairobi. It's a good place to find birds of arid habitat characteristic of eastern Kenya, some of which aren't present most other places visited on a birding tour to the main reserves and game parks. A museum at the site displays hand tools and other artifacts of pre-historic man from various archeological sites in Kenya.
LOCATION OF SITE
Olorgesailie Prehistoric Site is located about 75km south of Nairobi on the main road to Lake Magadi.
