The Manu Biosphere Reserve is located in the lowlands of the Peruvian Amazon. Birding groups typically reach the reserve by spending a week birding the Manu Road and then taking an all-day boat trip into the reserve. They generally take a regularly scheduled flight by small plane from the landing strip there back to Cusco.
