Location of Cerro Azul and Cerro Jefe in Panama
Cerro Azul and Cerro Jefe are located in Chagres National Park in central Panama. The turnoff to the road is located near the intersection of Old Gamboa Road and the Gaillard Highway. It takes about 45 minutes to drive there from Panama City.
Description of Cerro Azul and Cerro Jefe

Cerro Azul and Cerro Jefe are located in the 320,000 acre Chagres National Park. These mid-elevation sites attract a somewhat different mix of birds than lower elevation birding sites in the canal zone and vicinity. The park protects a large expanse of humid forest, the largest remaining in Panama Canal watershed.
