Tour prices have been calculated to offer the best value possible. However, when estimating costs months in advance, unanticipated price increases for transportation, lodging, or meals could require an increase in the published price of the tour. Exotic Birding LLC has a policy of not raising tour prices if at all possible but does reserve the right to increase the price of the tour by up to 10% should such unexpected cost increases arise. If an increase above 10% becomes necessary, participants may withdraw from the tour with full refund.
Tours generally require a minimum of 4 participants for the tour to be offered at the published price. If fewer than the minimum sign up, participants may be given the option of either paying the small group supplement indicated on the tour overview page or cancelling their participation in the tour with full refund. If no small group supplement is specified, then the tour may be cancelled at Exotic Birding's discretion if fewer than 4 participants are registered.
Photo tours cannot be conducted economically with fewer than 3 persons because of our photographer's travel expenses. Therefore, the small group supplement on photo tours applies only to groups of 3 persons. Photo tours with only 1-2 persons registered will be cancelled.
For birding tours the small group supplement applies for groups of 2-3 persons. Birding tours with only 1 person registered may be conducted as a private tour at additional charge (contact us for pricing) or will be cancelled at our option. Any tour cancelled by Exotic Birding will result in full refund to participants.
