We offer two very different birding tours to Brazil, one into the Brazilian Amazon near the Colombia and Peru borders and one to the southeast around Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro where it's possible to see nearly 80 endemics in just 2 weeks. The lodge we visit in the Amazon is reached from Colombia rather than Manaus, which makes the travel arrangements easier than traditional Amazon tours. August or September is the best time to visit the Brazilian Amazon, as rainfall is less than later in the year. October or November is the best time to visit southeast Brazil even though it's rainier than September because birds are more actively nesting and drier habitats such as at Guapiacu have likely had some rain by then.
