ABOUT THE BIRDING
Tambo is a birding site worth visiting en route to Comarapa from Samaipata, Saipina, or Perereta (the Red-fronted Macaw site). The habitat is mostly semi-arid scrub along with some streamside. This is a good locale to find Bolivian Earthcreeper.
LOCATION OF SITE
The town of Tambo is located on the main highwayt between Samaipata and Comarapa after the junction at La Palizada and 17km south of Comarapa. The birding site is 4km beyond Tambo toward Comarapa on highway 7.
