We arrive in Lima Saturday evening and stay at the comfortable , the capital city of Peru. Following our flight to Cusco and some birding around Huacarpay Lakes area, we'll transfer to Ollantaytambo Lodge near Ollantaytambo for 1 night. We then continue on to Machu Picchu, where we'll stay 2 nights at the Pueblo Hotel or similar. From there we return to Ollantaytambo Lodge for 3 additional nights before returning to Cusco and then Lima.

The hotel is 15 minutes walk from Miraflores Central Park and 30 minutes from the international airport. The hotel features wireless internet access, laundry service, foreign currency exchange, and taxi service. It is in the business district of Miraflores, so several restaurants are located near the hotel. Rooms feature double or twin beds, private bath with hot water, cable TV, and air conditioning.

The hotl features luxurious white-washed bungalows nestled in the terraced hillside, spa services, and a first-class restaurant. The hotel is surrounded by 12 acres of secluded forest where birding can be done on the premises. The dining room overlooks the Urubamba River valley and features superb cuisine. Cafe Inkaterra overlooks the Vilcanota River and offers more casual fare. The hotel also offers free high-speed internet service and evening nature shows.

Each room features thick alpaca blankets and handmade wool coverlets since nights can be cold at this elevation. They also feature fireplaces, one queen or two double beds, room heater, and private bath.
