Sat Aug 23	Overnight Flight Included Meals: None	Overnight international flight to Sao Paulo. Flight not included in tour.
Sun Aug 24	Sao Paulo Ubatuba Forest Reserve Hotel Solar das Aguas Cantantes Included Meals: LD	Arrive Sao Paulo in morning. Mid-day transfer to Ubatuba (approx. 2 ½ hours drive). Afternoon birding along flat trail in nearby forest reserve.
Mon Aug 25	Sao Paulo Ubatuba Forest Reserve Hotel Solar das Aguas Cantantes Included Meals: BLD	Morning birding along same trail visited previous afternoon. Mid-day break and chance to walk on nearby beach. Visit hummingbird feeders at private residence. Afternoon birding a different preserved forest on private land near Ubatuba.
Tues Aug 26	Pereque Itatiaia Natl. Park Hotel do Ype Included Meals: BLD	Early check-out and departure for Pereque. Morning look for endangered Black-hooded Antwren and bird along the nearby country road. Mid-day transfer to Itatiaia National Park, with lunch at a restaurant en route. Possible late afternoon birding around hotel in park, time permitting.
Wed Aug 27	Itatiaia Natl. Park Hotel do Ype Included Meals: BLD	All day birding lower portion of Itatiaia National Park.
Thurs Aug 28	Itatiaia Natl. Park Hotel do Ype Included Meals: BLD	All day birding upper portion of Itatiaia National Park. Box lunch from hotel.
Fri Aug 29	Itatiaia Natl. Park Hotel do Ype Included Meals: BLD	All day birding different areas in lower portion of Itatiaia National Park.
Sat Aug 30	Itatiaia Natl. Park Sao Paulo Amazon Plaza Hotel Included Meals: BL	Early morning birding in park. Mid-day check-out and transfer back to Sao Paulo (approx. 4-5 hours drive depending on traffic). Lunch en route. Dinner/snacks at airport or on plane (not included in tour price). For those not going to Pantanal, overnight international flight home (flight not included in tour price). For those going to Pantanal, domestic flight to Cuiba, arriving late evening (est. 10:30 PM).
Sun Aug 31	Cuiaba Pantanal Fazenda Santa Tereza Included Meals: BLD	Early AM departure for Pantanal. Morning drive to Fazenda Santa Tereza, arriving after lunch. Lunch at restaurant near fazenda. Optional mid-afternoon boat trip on river. Late afternoon birding trails in dry forest near lodge.
Mon Sep 1	Pantanal Fazenda Santa Teresa Included Meals: BLD	Early morning birding trails in dry forest near lodge. Rest of day birding excursion south along the Transpantaneira, where we'll reach drier habitats of Southern Screamer and look for Hyacinth Macaws as well as other birds in wetlands along the road. Afternoon visit to Jaguar Research Center to look for Golden-collared Macaws. Probable night birding on way back, looking for nightjars etc.
Tues Sep 2	Pantanal Araras Eco Lodge Included Meals: BLD	Early morning birding trails near lodge. After breakfast departure for Araras Eco Lodge, birding alongg road en route (approx. 1 hour drive). Remainder of day birding around lodge, including alon boardwalk and from observation tower.
Wed Sep 3	Pantanal Araras Eco Lodge Included Meals: BLD	All day birding around lodge, including along boardwalk into forested area.
Thurs Sep 4	Pantanal Chapada dos Guimaraes Pousada Penhasco Included Meals: BLD	After breakfast departure for Chapada dos Guimaraes (approx. 4-hour drive). Lunch en route or at Pousada Penhasco. Late afternoon birding boardwalk trails through forest behind lodge.
Fri Sep 5	Chapada dos Guimaraes Pousada Penhasco Included Meals: BLD	All day birding in Chapada dos Guimaraes National Park. Lunch at restaurant in park or at a nearby restaurant.
Sat Sep 6	Chapada dos Guimaraes Cuiaba Sao Paulo Overnight Flight Included Meals: BL	Morning birding boardwalk through forest behind lodge, time permitting. After breakfast departure for Cuiaba and flight back to Sao Paulo. Arrive in Sao Paulo late afternoon or early evening. International flight home (not included in tour price).
Sun Sep 7	Overnight Flight Included Meals: None	Arrive home.
