Our Panama bird photo tours are shorter duration than our birding tours but still visit both Pacific and Caribbean sides of the Canal Zone and the western highlands of Chiriqui Province. The shorter itinerary means we spend less time in the west by eliminating sites where the birding is good but photographic opportunities aren't the best. Photographers are welcome on our birding tours, but the emphasis on those tours is species count rather than getting photographs. The best time to visit Panama is February and March during dry season when the birds are active and Quetzals have not yet begun incubating eggs inside tree cavities.
